About Me

I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Helping people overcome anxiety has been my passion since 2006, when I created a support group for people who struggle with hair-pulling disorder (trichotillomania). Today, I treat a range of anxiety-based conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic, chronic skin-picking, and phobias including fear of driving and airplane travel. I feel responsible for staying up-to-date with current research and advances in my field, so that when people entrust me with their care, they feel confident that solid science backs their treatment. Evidence-based methods, primarily Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure-Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) comprise the core of my approach. Faith in the healing power of relationship anchors my foundation.
